A Wayne County man was taken into custody early Friday after deputies said he crashed his vehicle off Ride Road in Williamson while intoxicated.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said Brandon C. Ladue, 22, of Salmon Run Circle in Ontario, was arrested following the investigation into a one-car property damage crash. Deputies said the vehicle left the roadway, struck a mailbox and eventually came to rest after hitting a tree.
Investigators alleged Ladue was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Authorities said he later refused to submit to a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol content after being transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Ladue was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, no seatbelt and consumption of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await CAP court due to the refusal to submit to a chemical test.
New York State Police and the Williamson Fire Department assisted deputies at the scene.
