A Keuka Park woman is facing driving while intoxicated charges following a late-night traffic stop in Yates County.
Deputies said Laura Hernandez, 54, was stopped around 11:36 p.m. April 28 on State Route 54A in Penn Yan after they observed a traffic violation.
During the stop, deputies said Hernandez showed signs of intoxication and was subjected to standardized field sobriety tests. She was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail, where she submitted to a chemical test.
Hernandez was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher, and speeding.
She was issued traffic tickets and released with an appearance date scheduled in the Town of Jerusalem Court.
