A Rochester man was arrested twice in less than three hours Thursday after separate theft complaints at a business in Tyre, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies first arrested Daniel Diraimo, 70, around 2:18 a.m. Oct. 8 after investigators said he took merchandise and left a store without attempting to pay.
Diraimo was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, and taken to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center for processing.
He was released on an appearance ticket to answer the charge at a later date.
Deputies arrested Diraimo again around 4:23 a.m. following a disorderly conduct and theft complaint in Tyre.
The Sheriff’s Office said he was observed consuming a banana and an alcoholic beverage without paying for them.
Diraimo was charged with petit larceny again and held for centralized arraignment.
