Crews are already laying the groundwork for a new radio tower aimed at helping first responders stay connected, according to Spectrum News.
Schuyler County Emergency Management says teams have installed an equipment building and generator at the Monterey Tower site. The tower will anchor the county’s Land Mobile Radio System, giving emergency crews a more reliable signal.
The project comes as officials also upgrade the county’s 911 center, part of a broader push to improve response times and communication during emergencies.
