A Corning man already in custody is facing new felony charges after authorities say he attacked another inmate inside the Steuben County Jail.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies arrested Dominick W. Bova, 31, on April 22 following an incident at the jail involving another incarcerated individual.
According to investigators, Bova is accused of intentionally causing injury to another person while inside the facility. He was charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony.
Bova was arraigned through centralized arraignment and remanded back to the Steuben County Jail, where he was already being held.
No additional information about the circumstances of the incident or the condition of the other inmate was released.
