A longtime Wayne County legal figure is stepping back into court work instead of retiring, according to The Times of Wayne County. Former DA and County Court Judge Rick Healy has returned as a part-time assistant district attorney.
Healy led the DA’s office for 25 years before becoming a judge, then retired after reaching the state’s mandatory age limit. Now, he’ll help prosecute felony cases, review cold cases, and assist investigations.
District Attorney Christine Callanan says his decades of experience will strengthen the office, while Healy says part-time work fits him perfectly.
