The City of Ithaca will begin its annual spring street cleaning program on March 30.
The Department of Public Works said crews will continue cleaning streets throughout April.
Officials said daily work areas will be posted with “No Parking” signs at least 24 hours in advance.
Vehicles must be removed by 7 a.m. on the posted date or they will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
Crews will start in the Collegetown area during the first week, scheduled to align with Cornell University’s spring break.
The city allows up to 24-hour parking on public streets and advises residents not to leave vehicles unattended while out of town.
Residents can receive daily street cleaning updates through the Tompkins SIREN notification system.
