A driver was arrested on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic complaint in the Town of Varick. The arrest happened around 4:39 p.m. on March 24, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
Shawn Kime, of Fayette, was taken into custody after an investigation into the complaint.
Deputies said Kime was cited for driving on the shoulder. Authorities reported a blood alcohol content greater than 0.18%.
Kime was taken into custody without incident and later released with an appearance ticket.
He is scheduled to appear in Fayette Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
