A structure fire destroyed a home in the Town of Romulus early Wednesday morning, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
The fire was reported around 6 a.m. at a residence on Route 96A, where deputies and multiple fire agencies responded.
Officials said the occupants were able to evacuate safely and reported no injuries.
The home was deemed a total loss, though authorities said it was fully insured.
Investigators said the cause of the fire remains undetermined but is not considered suspicious.
Multiple fire departments and emergency services from across the county assisted at the scene.
Additional departments from Border City, Canoga, and Trumansburg provided coverage during the incident.
Crews were later called back to the scene at 1:43 p.m. for a rekindle and cleared the scene again around 4 p.m.
