United Way names new $1M donors

Several major donors have joined the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes’ Million Dollar Roundtable after contributing more than $1 million to the organization.

The newest members include Bob August, Zeke and Jane Duda, and Jon and Kathy Schumacher. They were recognized during the group’s Tocqueville Society kickoff event last week.

The Million Dollar Roundtable recognizes individuals and family foundations whose lifetime giving to United Way — including planned gifts — totals $1 million or more.

The recognition program began in 2020.

Recent additions to the roundtable have included Lauren Dixon and Mike Schwabl, the Judsons, Ray and Erika Hutch, Brian and Jean Hickey, Ed and Ann Pettinella, and Charles and Jean August.

“We are incredibly honored to welcome our newest members to the Million Dollar Roundtable,” said Jaime Saunders, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes.

Saunders added that the donors’ investments help support long-term change in the community.
