Macedon traffic stop leads to DWI charge

A traffic stop in Macedon led to the arrest of a local man on drunk driving charges.

Gregory J. Doyle, 53, of West Main Street in the Town of Macedon, was arrested after deputies stopped him for speeding near Route 31 and Beebe Road.

Deputies allege Doyle was operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

He voluntarily submitted to a chemical test at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, which measured his blood alcohol content at .15%.

Doyle was charged with driving while intoxicated, speed in zone and open container.

He was processed and released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Macedon Town Court at a later date.
