Fire crews from several Cayuga County departments responded to a reported structure fire on East Lake Road.
Dispatchers sent units from Conquest, Cato, Victory, South Butler, Savannah and Port Byron, along with Oswego Town RIT and CIMVAC Ambulance, according to the Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire.
Early radio updates indicated Conquest Car 1 arrived on scene and reported “nothing showing from the outside.”
Moments later, command confirmed the situation had escalated to a working fire.
Responding units included Victory Rescue Pump 1, Conquest Engine 1, Conquest Tanker 1, Port Byron Tanker 1, Savannah Engine 51, Cato Tanker 1 and CIMVAC Ambulance 1.
Fire crews from Cato, Victory and Conquest later reported they were on scene as the response continued.
No additional information about injuries or damage was immediately available.
