Dundee man charged after domestic incident

Deputies arrested a Dundee man after a reported domestic disturbance late Friday night.

Craig Webster, 31, of Dundee, was taken into custody after Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the village around 10:20 p.m. on March 6.

Investigators said Webster tried to enter an apartment where a person protected by an active order of protection was inside.

Deputies said Webster damaged the apartment door while attempting to get inside and made threats toward people in the residence.

Webster was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, along with fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of second-degree harassment.

Webster was transported to the Yates County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Centralized Arraignment Part court.

New York State Police assisted at the scene.
