Canandaigua residents will soon get a chance to speak directly with town leaders during a new town hall-style meeting, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Town Supervisor Don Cotter scheduled the meeting for 6 p.m. March 23 at Town Hall. Cotter, a Democrat elected in November, says the event will focus on open back-and-forth discussion instead of the one-way format typical at board meetings.
Cotter and newly elected board members Bobby Ellis and Scott Hall campaigned on improving communication with residents. Town officials also recently discussed reorganizing the finance department to increase accountability and transparency.
