Deputies: Waterloo man detailed plans to kill law enforcement, code enforcement officer

A Waterloo man is facing felony charges after investigators say he made threats against local law enforcement officials.

Seneca County Sheriff Timothy Thompson reports that investigators arrested 40-year-old Collin J. Hennessy on Jan. 30 on two counts of making a terroristic threat and one count of third-degree intimidating a victim or witness.

Authorities allege Hennessy made and expressed detailed threats to kill members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and an employee of the Seneca County Code Enforcement Office.

Investigators say the alleged threats stem from grievances related to Hennessy’s arrest in October, when authorities alleged he was in possession of 3D-printed firearms, ammunition, and a silencer.

Hennessy was taken into custody in Clifton Springs and transported to the Seneca County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Seneca County Centralized Arraignment Part Court.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation and arrest by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
