Mercy Flight Central earns top reaccreditation

CAMTS accreditation is considered the gold standard in air medical and critical care transport. The review process evaluates clinical care, aviation safety, communications, aircraft maintenance, training, and organizational leadership.

Mercy Flight Central says the reaccreditation confirms the organization meets — and in some areas exceeds — national standards for patient care and safety.

President and CEO Lauren Kolb called the decision an affirmation of the organization’s commitment to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The reaccreditation reflects the work of flight clinicians, pilots, mechanics, communications staff, educators, and administrators who support air medical operations across the region.

Mercy Flight Central provides air medical transport services across more than 20 counties in the Finger Lakes, Central New York, and the Mohawk Valley.

CAMTS is an independent nonprofit that accredits medical transport programs worldwide through a voluntary review process focused on safety and performance.
