Lyons traffic stop leads to drug arrest after narcotics found

A routine traffic stop in the Town of Lyons turned into a drug investigation after deputies found suspected narcotics inside a vehicle.

Deputies later identified the driver as Aleixiendra Hinkle, 31, of Broad Street in Lyons.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies located several white, rock-like substances under the seat during the stop. Investigators sent the material to a laboratory for analysis, which later confirmed it was cocaine.

Deputies arrested Hinkle and charged her with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

She is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court CAP to answer the charge.
