Entrepreneurs and students in Wayne County can once again pitch big ideas for cash and support, according to The Times of Wayne County. The Wayne Economic Development Corporation announced the return of its 2026 KickStart pitch competitions.
The adult contest targets county residents with businesses less than three years old and requires a business plan, financials, and participation in SCORE workshops. High school students can also compete, with a $5,000 prize pool spread across categories.
Applications for both competitions are due March 6, with finalists pitching April 21. Organizers say the program aims to spark entrepreneurship and connect participants with real-world resources.
