Bills set to lose longtime offensive line coach Aaron Kromer to retirement

The Buffalo Bills are expected to experience notable changes this offseason, and one of the most impactful developments may already be underway.

According to Mike Silver of The Athletic, longtime offensive line coach Aaron Kromer is expected to retire, though the team hasn’t made an official announcement.

Kromer began his second stint in Buffalo in 2022, and the results were immediate and sustained. Under his guidance, the Bills’ offensive line became one of the league’s most reliable units, helping fuel both the run and pass games. Since his return, Buffalo linemen have earned seven Pro Bowl selections, including four by Dion Dawkins, along with appearances by Rodger Saffold, Mitch Morse, and Connor McGovern.

Beyond accolades, Kromer was widely credited with developing right tackle Spencer Brown into a high-level starter while also building quality depth across the line. Players such as Alec Anderson, Ryan Van Demark, and Tylan Grable were able to step into starting roles when needed and perform effectively.

Looking ahead, Buffalo’s offensive line could look significantly different in 2026. In addition to Kromer’s expected retirement, center Connor McGovern and left guard David Edwards are both scheduled to reach free agency, creating further uncertainty for a unit that has been a strength of the team in recent seasons.
