Gun owners and residents looking for clarity on changing firearm laws will have a chance to ask questions later this month.
Seneca County Sheriff Timothy J. Thompson, Jr. will host the second Gun Law Update Informational Session from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center.
The free session will cover recent gun law updates, the pistol permit process, and best practices for legally armed individuals during police encounters.
The event is open to any Seneca County resident age 18 or older. Those under 18 may attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All attendees must register in advance due to limited space. To register, residents can contact Confidential Assistant Ashley Denmark by email at [email protected] or by phone at (315) 220-3403.
The Seneca County Law Enforcement Center is located at 6150 Route 96 in Romulus. Attendees should park in the visitor parking lot and enter through the main lobby.
“We look forward to connecting with the community while providing this critically important information. We recognize that it can be difficult to keep up with the law changes and hope that this event will prove to be helpful for those that we serve,” Thompson said.
