Just days before crews break ground, local officials signed off on Micron’s massive project, according to WSTM. The Clay Planning Board approved the full site plan for Micron’s White Pine campus Wednesday night.
The votes allow Micron to build a rail spur, merge 34 parcels into one 819-acre industrial site, and construct all planned facilities, including substations and water systems. Board members treated the approvals as procedural.
With permits secured, Micron plans to hold its groundbreaking Friday. Tree removal and early construction mark the first visible phase of the long-awaited project.
