Some Wayne County residents received duplicate water and sewer bills this billing cycle due to a printing error, officials said.
The Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority said the issue affected a small number of customers and involved duplicate copies of the same bill being mailed.
Officials said customers who received more than one copy of their most recent bill can safely disregard the extra copy. The authority stressed that no additional payment is required and no further action is needed.
The duplicate bills do not reflect extra charges or a second balance, according to the notice.
