Bath man flees domestic incident, later found hiding in nearby apartment

Bath police arrested a man March 8 after responding to a reported domestic incident involving a violation of an order of protection.

Police identified the suspect as Dylan M. Henry, 34, of Bath.

An officer on patrol near West Morris Street around 12:03 a.m. was flagged down by a female who reported a physical domestic incident and said the male suspect had taken some of her property.

Police said officers were aware of a full stay-away order of protection in place protecting the woman from Henry.

Authorities reported the suspect fled the scene and was last seen near the Dormann Library on West Morris Street.

Officers searched the area and later learned Henry was hiding in an apartment nearby. Police said they located him inside the apartment at about 1:07 a.m. and took him into custody after a brief struggle.

Henry was charged with robbery in the third degree, criminal contempt in the first degree, obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree and resisting arrest.

Police transported Henry to the Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment, where he remains held.

Authorities said the incident occurred less than 24 hours after Henry was released from Steuben County CAP Court after violating the same order of protection and engaging law enforcement in a foot pursuit.
