A Branchport man faces charges after an investigation into the theft of prescription medication in the Town of Italy.
Joseph C. Stratton, 42, was arrested March 14 following the investigation by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the investigation determined Stratton stole another person’s prescribed medication and replaced it with an over-the-counter medication without the person’s knowledge.
Stratton was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and petit larceny.
Authorities released him on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Italy Court at a later date.
