Three New York Lottery players are celebrating after top-prize TAKE 5 tickets were sold in Auburn, East Rochester, and Holbrook.
The New York Lottery announced that multiple winning tickets matched the top prize in the Jan. 5 TAKE 5 Evening drawing. Each ticket is worth $10,261.
One winning ticket was sold at Wegmans #38, located at 1 Loop Road in Auburn. Another was sold at Wegmans #04 at 851 Fairport Road in East Rochester. A third top-prize ticket was sold at Akshar Card & Gift Inc. at 342 Union Ave. in Holbrook.
TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily, with numbers drawn from a field of one through 39. The drawings air at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
Lottery officials said winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim prizes of any amount.
The New York Lottery is the largest and most profitable lottery in North America. During the 2024–2025 fiscal year, it contributed $3.6 billion to support public schools across the state.
