Bills rout Jets in final regular-season game at Highmark Stadium (full coverage)

The Buffalo Bills closed the regular season and a long chapter at Highmark Stadium with a dominant 35-8 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday. The win capped a 12-5 season and secured the Bills the AFC’s No. 6 seed in the playoffs.

With playoff positioning already secured, Josh Allen took one snap before exiting, extending his streak to 135 consecutive starts. James Cook followed him to the sideline early, and Mitchell Trubisky took over, leading Buffalo’s offense efficiently for the rest of the afternoon.

Trubisky opened the scoring with a 17-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Knox, then guided Buffalo to a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter when Ty Johnson scored on a six-yard direct snap run. Ray Davis capped another strong drive with a two-yard receiving touchdown to make it 21-0 at halftime.

Buffalo continued to control the game after the break. Trubisky connected with Gabe Davis on a short touchdown pass on fourth-and-goal, then added a two-point conversion to Keon Coleman. Trubisky later found Johnson for a six-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, pushing the lead to 35-0 before the Jets finally got on the board.

Ray Davis was the offensive standout, rushing 21 times for 151 yards while adding two catches for 23 yards and a touchdown, setting a career high in scrimmage yards. Trubisky threw four touchdown passes, while Buffalo’s defense held New York scoreless until the final seven minutes and forced multiple turnover-on-downs stops.

The victory added to the Bills’ strong finish at the stadium, as Buffalo went 17-2 over their final two seasons in Orchard Park. Including postseason games, the Bills posted a 266-172 record at the venue, good for a .606 winning percentage.
