Downtown Ithaca’s restaurant row is losing a familiar spot at year’s end, according to 14850.com.
Red’s Place will serve its final customers on New Year’s Eve, closing after 11 years in business. Owner Nick Acquilano, who took over the gastropub last summer, announced the decision earlier this month. He says tables, chairs, and booths will be sold as the space winds down.
The restaurant opened in 2014 and built a following for burgers, flatbreads, shareable plates, and a wide beer selection. Red’s remains open through December 31 at 107 North Aurora Street, with regular hours leading up to its final night.
