Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic has been recognized for a century-long membership with the American Hospital Association, a milestone that celebrates generations of community care and leadership.
AHA Regional Executive Michael Draine presented the award to Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic President and COO Michael Rulffes in a ceremony marking the achievement.
“The American Hospital Association is proud to recognize Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic for 100 years of membership in the AHA and for their dedication to Wayne and Ontario counties,” Draine said in the release. He thanked the hospital’s leaders, staff, and caregivers for their continued commitment to meeting the evolving health needs of the communities they serve.
Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic is part of the Rochester Regional Health system and offers a range of services including ambulatory surgery, radiology, mental health care, and specialty care. The hospital currently has 262 beds and plays a key role in the broader network of community-based care across the region.
“Reaching 100 years with the American Hospital Association is a meaningful reflection of who we are and why we serve,” Rulffes said. “Our history is rooted in caring for our neighbors, and today we continue that mission by expanding access, investing in innovation, and supporting the dedicated caregivers who make this work possible.”
Clifton Springs Hospital was built in 1972 to replace the original Sanitarium Building, but its commitment to restorative care and healing remains at the core of its mission. The hospital’s leadership said this recognition from the AHA reinforces its role as a vital community partner and a forward-looking provider of healthcare.
