Ithaca City Manager Deb Mohlenhoff will step down Dec. 31 with a severance package worth her full $170,000 salary, according to The Ithaca Voice.
She’ll stay on the payroll until April 2026 and receive an extra $120,926. The deal includes a mutual gag order preventing criticism between her and city officials. Mohlenhoff said the resignation wasn’t her choice and stemmed from a shift in council leadership priorities.
Her departure follows stalled financial reforms and a $2.1M budget shortfall.
