Officials said multiple people have reported receiving calls from someone claiming to be with the sheriff’s office.
Authorities said the caller asks for money to pay bail for a family member.
The sheriff’s office said it will never request or demand payment over the phone.
Officials advised residents not to provide personal information or send money if they receive such calls.
They said anyone with concerns should hang up and contact the sheriff’s office directly to verify the situation.
