Smiles, shopping carts, and Santa filled the aisles at Walmart in Canandaigua on December 7, as local police officers helped students pick out holiday gifts during the 2025 Shop-With-A-Cop event.
The Canandaigua Police Department joined forces with Ontario County Back the Blue, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Geneva Police Department, and Finger Lakes Community College Campus Police to make the day special for local families.
Canandaigua School Resource Officer Delforte, along with Officers Hedworth and Carey, were among those paired up with students from the Canandaigua School District. Together, they enjoyed some spirited holiday shopping, gift-wrapping fun, and plenty of good conversation.
The event also featured a visit from Santa and wrapped up with a pizza party — all part of creating lasting memories during the holiday season.
The Canandaigua Police Department thanked all the families who took part and made the day so meaningful.
