A massive fire tore through Keough Dairy Farm in Warsaw early Friday, destroying multiple barns and killing dozens of cattle, according to 13WHAM-TV.
The blaze broke out around 3 a.m. and quickly spread to four structures. About 40 young cattle died, though the owner managed to rescue some. Bitter cold, ice, and limited water access made the fight tougher for 13 fire departments.
One firefighter was injured, and the cause remains under investigation. Community members have stepped in to support the grieving farmers.
