After a string of nighttime crimes and vandalism, Spencer officials unanimously passed a curfew for kids under 16, according to WENY.
The new rule bars minors from being out past 11 p.m. on weeknights and midnight on weekends—unless they’re with a guardian, coming from work, or attending a supervised event.
The law takes effect immediately. First-time violators get a warning, but repeat offenses could cost parents up to $250 in fines. Some residents questioned how it’ll be enforced, since the village has just one part-time officer.
