A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle at a busy Penn Yan intersection.
Police say the crash happened on November 12 at the corner of Chapel Street and Liberty Street. The driver, identified as Timothy Babcock, failed to yield to a person walking south in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Babcock was issued a traffic ticket for failing to yield the right of way. Penn Yan Fire Department and the Penn Yan Volunteer Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.
