Holiday market brings Santa, trains, and local gifts to Hemlock

Crowds are expected to pack the Little Finger Lakes Center this Saturday for its annual Holiday Market, one of the region’s most festive Small Business Saturday events.

The indoor market runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4705 S. Main St. in Hemlock, with over a dozen vendors, fresh snacks, fun for kids, and even a visit from Santa Claus.

Visitors can shop for handmade gifts from more than 15 local vendors, including Fire Creek Farms, Deer Run Winery, and Hemlock Hills Alpaca Farm. The market also includes pottery, jewelry, skin care, knitwear, wood toys, dog treats, and more. The Center’s year-round Artisan Gift Shop will also be open and stocked with local, hand-crafted items.

Families will find plenty to do while shopping. Kids can explore the Center’s new permanent toy train room, race wooden cars on a 24-foot track, and even build their own toy car kits thanks to the Rochester Woodworkers Society. Santa will also be on-site for festive photo ops.

The event is free to attend, and the nonprofit Center is accepting donations to support its ongoing operations. Shoppers can contribute at the donation table and receive a handmade thank-you gift in return. Organizers are encouraging families to come out and support local makers while celebrating the season together.
