A newly unveiled portrait brought Joe Biden back to Syracuse University — and straight into decades of memories, according to Spectrum News 1. The former president said the Syracuse community stood by him through life’s highest highs and deepest losses.
Biden graduated from the law school in 1968 and met his first wife there. His late son Beau also attended the university, deepening the family’s ties.
The portrait now hangs in the law library and opens to the public. Biden said he hopes it reminds students not of him, but of their duty to protect democracy.
