Police arrested three people on Wednesday after executing a search warrant at a downtown Seneca Falls apartment as part of a methamphetamine investigation.
The search took place at 152 Fall Street on November 20. Officers with the Seneca Falls Police Department, assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, made the arrests after an ongoing probe into local drug activity.
Tanya M. Rush, 38, was charged with multiple drug offenses, including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third and fourth degrees—both felonies—as well as criminally using drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor drug possession.
Joseph C. Smith, 45, also faces felony drug charges and an additional count of hindering prosecution in the first degree.
Shawn M. Standbrook, 40, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession.
Following the arrests, Seneca County Code Enforcement condemned the apartment due to unsafe living conditions.
The Seneca Falls Police Department says it remains committed to cracking down on illegal drug activity and keeping the community safe.
