Students can get one-on-one help with their FAFSA during an upcoming event at Finger Lakes Community College.
SUNY Financial Aid Day will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at FLCC’s main campus in Canandaigua. The event is free, but registration is required at flcc.edu/events .
The day kicks off with a session explaining financial aid and admissions. At 10 a.m., FLCC staff will help participants complete the FAFSA, the form required to apply for most types of financial aid.
Attendees should bring 2024 income tax documents, photo ID, and their current bank and investment balances.
The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for Pell grants, New York State TAP grants, and SUNY Reconnect—a program for adults between 25 and 55 who haven’t completed a degree.
More details are available at flcc.edu/aid.
