The Tops Markets store in Big Flats is shutting down for good months after an August fire forced it to close, according to WENY. The blaze started in a rooftop unit and spread to a compressor room, causing extensive damage.
Tops says the closure is tied to the end of its lease at Consumer Plaza Square. Crews were seen removing signs, and employees have been offered jobs at nearby stores in Southport and Corning.
No rebuild is planned, and the property’s future remains unclear.
