The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is giving thanks after a generous gift from a local business. The Tractor Supply store in Ontario donated $500 to support the department’s K9 unit.
The donation was part of Tractor Supply’s annual Hometown Heroes program, which celebrates and supports military members, veterans, and first responders. Each year, stores across the country host community events and donate to local public safety groups.
Along with one-time gifts like this donation, the program also offers verified service members and first responders ongoing discounts and in-store benefits.
The Sheriff’s Office thanked Tractor Supply for the support, calling the donation a meaningful boost for the K9 program — and a strong show of appreciation for first responders in the community.
