Driver charged with DWI after crash in Waterloo

Deputies arrested a Waterloo man after a crash and DWI investigation on Saturday evening.

Kadin Coleman, 25, was taken into custody around 6 p.m. on October 18 following a property damage accident near Stark and Chadwick Street in the Town of Waterloo.

Deputies say Coleman left the scene but was found shortly after at a location on Route 96. His vehicle had an open container in the cupholder, and he admitted to being involved in the crash.

After a breath test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.13%, Coleman was charged with misdemeanor DWI. He also received tickets for having an open container and leaving the scene of an accident.

Coleman was released on an appearance ticket and is due back in Waterloo Town Court on November 19. The Waterloo Police Department assisted at the scene.
