The Newark Drama Club will bring Anne of Green Gables to life Oct. 24–25, with shows at 7 p.m. at Newark High School, according to the Finger Lakes Times. The play follows spirited orphan Anne Shirley and her new life at Green Gables.
Director Emily Howard, who also teaches English at NHS, called the story a personal favorite and praised its rich characters and timeless themes of identity and belonging.
Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $7 for adults, and sold at the door only.
