State police arrested a Wayne County resident following an investigation into child sexual abuse material.
Jayden A. Westcott, 23, of Walworth, was charged with multiple felony counts related to the possession and promotion of the material.
The investigation began in February 2025 after a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children identified an online account uploading suspected files.
Authorities said investigators later identified Westcott as the account holder and executed a search warrant at a Walworth residence in June 2025, seizing electronic devices.
Police said forensic analysis found numerous files depicting child sexual abuse material, along with evidence of possession and dissemination.
Westcott surrendered to state police March 28 and was taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with three counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
Westcott was transported to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment.
