Garage crash in Victor leads to DWI arrest

Deputies arrested a man Saturday evening after reports of an intoxicated driver ended with a crash into a Victor garage.

Kurt Matthew Schultz Jr., 24, of Rochester, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest happened around 5:07 p.m. at a home on Keefewood Drive.

Deputies said they received several calls about a sick or impaired driver heading east on State Route 251. Investigators later found the vehicle at 756 Keefewood Drive, where it had crashed into a garage door.

Officials also believe the same vehicle hit a road sign earlier near Route 251 and Cork Road. Schultz was identified as the driver and only person in the car. Deputies said he showed clear signs of intoxication at the scene.
