The Humane Society of Schuyler County is packed with nearly 30 dogs—well over capacity—after a sudden surge in animal intakes, according to WENY.
Staff say they’re stretched thin and urgently need adopters, donations, or volunteers. Reduced adoption fees run through Oct. 15 thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” event, with fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered pets ready to go.
The shelter also has a $50,000 matching gift offer this month, making now the perfect time to donate. Food, money, or time — they’ll take all the help they can get.
