State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a side-by-side UTV that overturned late Saturday night in the town of Arcadia.
Troopers say the crash happened around 11:05 p.m. on October 4, when the UTV’s operator failed to navigate a turn at an unsafe speed. The vehicle rolled over, partially ejecting the 24-year-old male driver, who suffered fatal head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The UTV was reportedly unregistered. According to investigators, the driver was traveling north on Lembke Road and made a sharp right onto Mount Pleasant Road, but lost control after overcorrecting the turn.
The Wayne County Coroner responded to the scene. The New York State Police were assisted by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
The name of the victim has not yet been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
