Stacks of pancakes are on the menu Saturday, October 18, as a popular breakfast fundraiser returns to Penfield.
The Flapjack Benefit Breakfast will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Penfield, with proceeds supporting the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf.
For $10 per person—or $5 for kids—guests can enjoy a full breakfast spread, including pancakes with pure maple syrup, scrambled eggs, sausage, apple topping, whipped cream, coffee, and more. Sugar-free syrup will also be available.
Organizers say the event helps provide emergency food for residents in the 14625 and 14526 zip codes, as well as families with children in Penfield Schools.
The church is located at 1862 Penfield Road and is handicap accessible. Donations will also be gratefully accepted at the event.
