Cornell Swifties throw midnight album bash

Cornell’s Swift Club kicked off a glittery, burlesque-themed party hours before Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl dropped at midnight, according to The Cornell Chronicle. The Oct. 2 celebration featured trivia, raffles, snacks—and a crowd ready to sing along to songs they hadn’t even heard yet.

The group, led by Oswaldo Grajeda ’26, has become a safe space for fans from all backgrounds. For many, like Agustina Garcia ’27 and Aaditya Bahl ’27, Swift’s music shaped their identity and helped them learn English, connect with others, and build confidence.

Beyond album drops, the club hosts friendship bracelet nights and trivia—but nothing beats the rush of a midnight release.
