Two fishermen made a grim discovery Monday morning when they found a body in the Hornell Reservoir.
State Police say the man was identified as a 79-year-old. Investigators found no signs of foul play at the scene, located off Reservoir Road in the town of Fremont.
Troopers from the Hornell barracks and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to the call on Sept. 22. Fremont and Hammondsport fire departments also assisted.
Authorities have not released the man’s name. The investigation is ongoing.
