Federal agents flew Hediberto Ramirez Perez to Guatemala just days after raiding his Cato workplace—despite his valid U.S. work permit, according to WSYR.
Perez said officers stormed the snack bar plant on Sept. 4, dragged him away, and ignored his attempts to show his documents. He was held in multiple facilities before being deported without a hearing.
His lawyer is now fighting to bring him back and may sue the federal government for what Perez calls an illegal deportation.
